A finely carved lay figure. Adjustable and moveable at hands, leg joints, arms, hands, head, and in the torso. These highly collectable figures are increasingly scarce. This is a particularly well carved model with fine detailing. French, c19th century. Lay figures were originally used by artists to dress and study the human form to guide paintings.
