Circa 1825 French Toile de Nantes 'Moïs sauvé des Eaux' Manufacture Favre Petitpierre et Cie in a slightly faded soft violet /purple colour.The toile is after two Poussin paintings dated 1647 and 1654 and made popular by prints and engravings.It has been made into aday bed cover and shaped to accomodate a bolster cushionand the valance drop on three sides.Backed in a soft brown, red, yellow and cream woven checkcottonIn anas found antique condition with uneven colouring in places, some fading and yellowing across the piece.With mouse damage and scattered rust marksFront valance drop 61cmSide vance drop 15cm
