Circa 1790s French block printed in a soft madder red quilted cotton cover shaped to fit a small bed or daybed.Large scale roses and other flowers gathered in a loose bouquet are surrounded by meandering branches hung with baskets of flowers.The scalloped drop down edges were trimmed with green silk that is for the most part now missing.
A really wonderful piece
In an as found and unlaundered condition.Some scattered rust marks and holes.
