Early 19th century French indigo resist cotton quilt printed with flower heads interspersed with small leafed branches and backed in a heavy chanvre.The top corners are shaped to accomodate perhaps a bed post.In an as found antique and unlaundered condition that is more noticeable on its reverse.With some light fading to the indigo on itsright side and a few old repairs.
