Circa 1780-90s French pelmet or perhaps the unpicked valance of a bedcover with a pretty scalloped edge.Stylised tulips on a leafy stems rise from decorated urns surrounded by patterned arabesques.Backed in a heavy chanvre and finished with a now faded braid.

In an as found antique condition with mostly soft faded colours and some scattered small holes and weakness in the fabric.
