Rare 1970's Rank Industries Leeds optic fibre coffee table. A fine example of mid century design.
The glass top has fibre optics set inside it, when the table is plugged in and is switched on the light show begins.

The fibre optics run through a fabulous colour changing sequence, white, red, green turquoise and yellow tones are emitted through the optic ends creating a beautiful pattern of circular lights. The table has brass legs and still retains its high shine original finish, no tarnishing.

The cable that powers the lights comes from the underside of the table, this cable has been lightly attached the table leg with a plastic tie, this could easily be removed but we've left it in place currently. The table has a switch underneath and the plug itself has a secondary switch on the back.

The underside of the table has the workings of the fibre optics encased in a moulded boxing. The boxing has the sticker with the company name/details Rank Precision Industries Leeds, England.

The table has been privately owned from new by one careful owner previously, we are now able to offer this rare piece in incredible condition.

62cm width/depth, 44cm height.

When the table is switched off it appears smoked with the pattern of the white fibre optics showing through.
