Item Description
This is a spectacular floor lamp, designed by Francois Châtain, France, in the 1980’s. The design replicates huge shaped pebbles balancing on top of each other, in bright primary colours of Orange, Red, and Lime Green.
The lamp shade alone is 1 metre wide. One of the most jaw dropping lights we have ever seen, it really does need to be seen to be believed, the body is made of enamelled metal, and the light still bears the original Chatain sticker and labels on the lamp base and on the original shade.
It is in exceptional condition, just a few tiny marks to the enamel on the very bottom of the base, these are almost impossible to see. A small area on the very top of the lampshade the fabric is loose. The lamp with the shade on is almost 6 ft tall and over 3 ft wide.
This is the lamp you would build an interior around.
