Dating to the l700’s, the chair is highly decorated with finely carved, hand coloured chinoiserie flowers and birds set against a noire background, the scroll arms and tapered legs on scroll feet in gilt, the back framed in gilt gesso twisted rope and swag decorations.

There are minor marks to the painted areas with some paint loss, nothing that detracts from this incredibly beautiful and unique chair, recently fully professionally re-upholstered in natural linen fabric, including the removable seat cushion
