A Large 19th Century French Walnut Centre Table with Specimen Marble Top.


This table is constructed in walnut of good colour and figure. The frieze has reeded mouldings made in figured walnut. Standing on a tripartite platform base and stylised toupie feet. It has a bulbous faceted baluster form stem. The top of the table is beautifully inset with an array of specimen marbles, inlaid in segments that decrease in width as they get closer to the centre. The order of the marbles has been carefully thought out.
