Item Details

An exceptional, monumental 18th century Italian cherrywood credenza over four meters long.

The long moulded top above a series of drawers and panelled cupboard doors, with canted ends and raised on turned bun feet. The doors are particularly well detailed with deeply moulded geometric panels, giving the otherwise restrained design a strong architectural quality.

Constructed in beautifully figured cherrywood and retaining an exceptional untouched surface, with a deep, naturally developed colour and patination that can only be achieved through age.

The remarkable four metre scale, originality and superb colour make this a particularly rare and impressive example of 18th century Italian country furniture. All original including the feet.

This is the best credenza we have ever seen or purchased!
