Item Description

A majestic pair of French 19th Century fauteuils with wonderfully carved wood frames. Having high slightly shaped backs, heavy open arms with large scroll ends and shapely supports, decorated with floral and acanthus leaf carvings. The cabriole legs with abundant carvings are joined by curved cross stretchers with central carved rosettes. Standing on extraordinary feet.

A very good model pair of chairs.
