This is an antique Arts and Crafts fireside bin. An English, copper and wrought iron decorative coal or log keeper, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.
 
Wonderfully distinctive bin, to add elegance to any fireplace

Wrought iron bracing and legs add a contrasting darker element
 
Fascinating spiral comb handle accentuates the domed lid
