This is an antique carved lamp table. An Anglo-Indian, teak tilt-top colonial table, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1850.

Superb quality, with excellent carved detail and a tilting top

Profusely carved throughout with impressively crafted forms

Fascinating wavy top adorned with a banded edge moulding
Pierced fretwork apron hosts bunches of carved fruiting vines
Brass clasp releases the top, articulating to its upright position

Turned baluster support column with elaborate carved knees
Striking tri-form base profusely decorated with foliate motif
Each leg terminates in distinctive scrolled scallop shell toes
