This is an antique gentleman’s money clip. A German, leather and silver plated pocket coin holder, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
Fascinating and tactile pocket item, with collector coin interest

Embossed leather padded covering in a tasteful brown hue
Silver plate frame presents minimal tarnishing, opening in book form
Fitted with a pair of sprung coin holders hosting two Italian 20c coins (1912 & 1921 issue) and an American Dime from 1964
Delightful engraved concentric cross-hatch pattern detail to each sprung base
Base plate engraved with the D.R.G.M - for Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster - register mark
Further engraved with a registered design number in English, presumably for export markets
