This is an antique maritime decanter box. An English, solid walnut rum or whiskey storage case, dating to the late Georgian period, circa 1800.


Fascinating and substantial, with an appealing maritime appearance
Displays a desirable aged patina and in gently time-worn order
Solid walnut with 1'' thick stocks presenting aged grain interest

Lid opens wide and rests upon a rear brace for a secure opening
Dressed to the fascia with a cast iron strap clasp for keeping the lid closed
