This is a vintage cased fishing rod set. A Japanese, bamboo rod duo within a pine carry case, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1960.


A charming cased set, offering two full rods and various period fishing accessories
Displays a desirable aged patina, in carefully used order throughout
An ensemble housed within a pine case, held closed with a pair of small clasps
Comes with two full fishing rods, standing at 8ft and 6ft respectively


Each rod crafted from bamboo, and colour coded with tape
Russet hues adorn the beech handle of one rod, with the second hosting a cork example
The 8ft rod comprises three sections, with two sections creating the 6ft rod
Maker's mark present to the smaller rod, for Pigeon, with their charming bird mark
Set within the reverse of the lid, two compartments housing a set of accessories
