A secretive piece of furniture from a large villa in Florence. Made in the early 19th century, this initially presents as a commode/chest of drawers (the bottom two drawer are indeed drawers). Very heavy, in perfect condition with beautiful detailed paint work, the top part folds open to reveal this wonderful desk - a gem!  Internal width with desk open is 120cm and depth of the writing area is 53cm.  Overall depth sticking out once the desk is open is 80cm.
