A handsome 19th century rosewood Davenport of generous proportions, stamped M. Willson, 68 Great Queen Street inside.


This well-crafted example is in good condition throughout and displays design strongly reminiscent of Gillows.


The sliding black leather-inset writing surface glides forward smoothly, revealing a fitted interior beneath the hinged top.


To the left side is a useful brushing slide, while the right side features a concealed stationary drawer and 4 larger drawers below with matching dummy drawers to the opposite side.


Richly figured rosewood panels, turned wooden knobs, and elegant reeded bun feet complete the piece.


A beautiful and functional Davenport, ready for use.
