This striking and generously proportioned antique partners desk is crafted from rich mahogany and boasts an elegant serpentine shape to the front, back, and sides—lending it a sculptural, flowing silhouette that is both rare and visually captivating.


A true statement piece, the desk features exquisitely carved edging throughout, and sits atop twin panelled pedestals which are meticulously finished on all sides, allowing the desk to stand freely in the centre of a room. The quality and attention to detail are evident in every element, making it a distinguished centerpiece for any office, library, or study.


The desk comes in three sections for ease of transport and installation. Its surface is fitted with a new hand-dyed leather writing top, expertly finished in a soft faded coral red—a traditional tone that beautifully complements the mahogany.


Each side of the desk is symmetrical, offering nine spacious drawers in total per side (eighteen in all), constructed from solid oak with hand-cut dovetail joints. The drawers feature cockbeaded fronts, retaining their original brass swan neck handles and double pin brass locks. All drawers open and close smoothly, reflecting the quality of their construction and maintenance.


A deeply carved apron surrounds the base of the desk, enhancing its ornate appearance, while the piece stands firmly on finely carved ogee bracket feet, which are both decorative and sturdy.


This desk is in excellent showroom condition, a rare find, it is as practical as it is impressive—a true showstopper!
