A handsome Victorian burr walnut office bookcase, dating from around 1880, offered in very good condition with a rich, beautifully figured burr walnut veneer throughout.


Featuring a removable moulded cornice above an open storage compartment with a height-adjustable shelf, flanked by elegant canted fluted corners. Below are a pair of raised burr walnut panelled doors, complete with a working lock and key, opening to reveal two further height-adjustable shelves.


Slim in proportion yet offering generous storage for up to 36 standard lever arch files, this bookcase combines practicality with classic Victorian craftsmanship. A superb piece for a home office, study or library.
