A handsome Victorian mahogany secretaire bookcase in very good condition, presented in two sections for ease of transport.
The upper section features a pair of glazed doors with working key, opening to reveal three height-adjustable shelves, ideal for displaying books or decorative pieces.
The doors are framed with attractive moulded arches and decorative carved corbels.
The lower section incorporates a secretaire drawer which opens to reveal a well-fitted interior of small drawers and pigeonholes, centred around a new hand-dyed green leather writing surface.
Beneath are a pair of panelled cupboard doors providing additional storage with a single shelf inside.
A practical and elegant Victorian piece, combining book storage with a compact writing desk.
