A fine and unusual Victorian walnut desk chair, circa 1870, of elegant design and good quality.


The chair features a beautifully pierced and carved walnut backrest above a deep green leather upholstered seat and back, finished with hand tacked brass studs.


The shaped arms are supported by finely carved scroll supports, while the serpentine shaped seat front adds to the chairs refined profile.


Raised on turned legs with brass casters and a shaped rear sabre leg.


A particularly attractive and uncommon model, presented in good condition.
