Item Details

An unusual and rare cobblers work bench from the late 18th or early 19th century. The three legged bench sits on a tapered angle with a revolving last to one end. The shaped seat bares an inlayed plaque which reads "No 7 Josh Blacker Harehills Leeds". Constructed of oak ash and fruitwood with various repairs over time this really is an interesting and rare survivor.
