Item Details

A superb late 18th or early 19th century English country house giltwood mirror in the Gothic revival taste. The mirror is of quatrefoil shape and retains the original mirror plate that has minor foxing to areas and also the original panelled backboards. Retaining all the original gilding the frame has a wonderful colour and patina, carved with a simple rococo scrollwork repeating pattern. In untouched as found country house condition. Can be hung either portrait or landscape.
