A particularly fine sailor's woolwork, or 'woolie', representing the British Navy warship HMS Cambrian. A lot of detail has been put into this example, such as the cottage and trees on the headland, the boot eyelets stitched into the ship's hull to represent the gun portholes, and there is even a figurehead added to the prow of the ship. Overall in good condition with tight wools and bright colours. Some dark areas of dust, so would benefit from a professional clean. Original maple frame.
