Item Details

George V sterling silver twin handled tray with Celtic decoration. Fully hallmarked for Adie Brothers Ltd, Birmingham 1935. Retailer's stamp: Asprey London, along with the Silver Jubilee mark of King George V and Queen Mary.


This superb tray's surface is plain and unembellished, encompassed with an impressive applied Celtic boarder, with mythical serpent and interlacing knotwork in between circular cartouches. This design wraps around the handles, with a detailed head of the mythical serpent to each end.


Overall in very good condition. A very minor dent to the flat surface and signs of polishing, light scratches and spots marks. The tray sits flat. The underside has some scratches and marks with use.
