A large Regency satinwood and gilt picture frame. Circa 1820s.


With a chamfered satinwood slip and a gilded composition edge which has applied ornament. In original, untouched condition, showing good patina and rich colour to the satinwood. Some rubbing to the gilt decoration, with a small loss to the lower gilt cartouche and one bead missing, as shown in the photographs.


The inner rebate is: 47.5cm wide x 60cm high.
