17th Century English Antique Oak Slab Top Table


This is a wonderful, very early English antique oak table that has a wondrous thick oak slab table top made from two very thick oak planks that are chamfered on the underside and cleated at the ends. This period oak antique table base has four tapering legs with stretchers to support the heavy oak table top. To the inside of each legs and the top edge of the connecting stretchers are unusual chamfered decorations. All in super, solid condition and the period oak is a lovely pale and natural scrubbed out finish. Rare to find English tables this early and in such good condition, dates to around 1640.
