Amazing Large Georgian Oval Stone Trough


This wonderful, large scale antique hand cut stone watering trough was made for a North Yorkshire early 18th century Country House property where it was made for and has been ever since in the middle of the large estate stable yard. A very rare example in fabulous condition with no damage at all. Designed to be water tight, so no holes, was originally for the horses to drink from, could be drilled for a drain hole. Would make a stunning centrepiece to a garden, courtyard or parterre. The surface is beautifully hand cut and all a lovely colour. Imagine the hours this would have taken to hand chisel from a single block of stone. Fine craftsmanship, a beautiful Yorkshire Georgian antique stone trough in a rare oval shape / design, a more formal example, not a field trough. Easy to deliver, on a pallet.
