Collection of Original English 19th Century Antique Witch Balls

A large superb collection of fifteen, original and in perfect condition, English antique witch balls. They vary in size, shape and colour, the largest being 25cm in diameter to the smallest at 11cm in diameter. These are true antique witch balls, not reproductions. It is said they were hung in cottage windows from the 17th century in England to ward away evil spirits, witches and bad fortune. It was believed that the witches would see their reflection in these balls and be scared away and thus keeping the home safe. A rare to find collection.
