English Antique Maypole Dairy Carved & Gilt Sign

A lovely sized English 19th century antique dairy advertising sign for the British dairy company, Maypole Dairy who were an early chain of 19th century dairies. This is a superb example, decorative hand carved lettering finished in the original gilt to highlight the letters, on an ebonised pine back board and mounted in a walnut cock beaded frame. A decorative piece of original antique English dairy history, perfect for the wall in a kitchen or pantry.
