Large 19th Century Antique Sofa by William Barrow for Gillows


A deep, luxuriously comfortable and ample English antique traditionally upholstered large sofa by William Barrow for Gillows around 1870. Very good quality build and a lovely shape, featured a sprung back and sides and with feather filled seat cushions. The Gillows legs are turned in walnut and all have the original quality brass castors. To the back leg is the William Barrow W.B makers stamp, the frame is probably stamped Gillows under the upholstery. All the upholstered innards are intact and in place, ready for a new top fabric. A wonderful English antique Gillows quality country house sofa. The seat is 52cm high by squishes down when sat upon.
