Rare Arthur Simpson Edwardian Antique Oak Cupboard


A beautifully handmade, top quality solid oak antique cupboard, a very rare example of a piece of large Arthur Simpson furniture that dates to around 1900. In such amazing condition, designed to be used as a hanging cupboard for a hallway or bedroom, but shelved out, this would make a stunning rare English Arts & Crafts antique kitchen cupboard. Made entirely in solid oak which is a fabulous, original colour, this Arthur Simpson cupboard has four well panelled doors with all the original brass handles present. Behind two of the doors are the original oak shelves and being the two central doors are internal original oak hanging hooks and simple hanging rails. Stands beautifully on tall square legs with a shaped apron along the front and sides. At the top, the flared cornice can lift off. In superb, clean and original condition throughout, a special and rare antique oak cupboard by an English Arts & Crafts designer, Arthur Simpson, The Handicrafts Workshop of Kendal.
