Rare English Antique Slate Food Cupboard – London Maker


A beautifully made English English 19th century large antique slate food cupboard, made and labelled by Goddard & Sons, London. Made in slate with walnut and meshed doors, inside are three slide out adjustable in height slate shelves and with vented apertures on both sides. In excellent, clean, complete and original condition. The large brass makers plaque is one one door, saying Eureka Slate and Meat Safe, patented. Designed originally to keep food stuffs cool, could be used as a normal cupboard, sound system cupboard, TV cupboard or for food again, if you don’t have a pantry. Dates to around 1880, complete with all the original metal ware.
