William Morris Antique Sussex Chair by Rossetti


A much rare model of a William Morris antique Arts and Crafts Sussex armchair, a design by his friend Dante Gabriel Rossetti. An ample model that is in such good condition and with a lovely circular traditionally rushed seat that still has the original bentwood facing strips around the edge. In very good strong condition and still in the original ebonised finish. Dates to around 1870. A beautiful example. Seat height is 44cm.
