Peter de Wint was a British 19th Century artist born in 1784, known for his exceptional mastery of watercolour shown through paintings of landscapes, figures and scenery depicting 19th century life in England and Wales. Work by this artist is exhibited in a number of highly prestigious institutions such as the National Gallery, Tate Britain, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Fitzwilliam Museum.
