Description
A finely executed late nineteenth-century oil on panel by Spanish painter Tomás García Sampedro (1860–1937), signed and dated 1899. The painting depicts a warmly observed domestic interior where a travelling toy seller displays his wares to a family gathered around a rustic table. Richly dressed in traditional Spanish costume, the merchant presents a delicate floral ornament while children admire a doll and a wooden rocking horse, creating a charming narrative filled with everyday life and regional character.

Executed with exceptional academic precision, the composition demonstrates Sampedro's mastery of light, texture, and expression.
