These very rare first production lamps were designed by the Danish architect for the  Radiohuset building in Copenhagen in the 1930s and are manufactured by Louis Poulsen.


Interestingly they were almost certainly designed by Finn Juhl ( who was working for Lauritzen at the time early in his career ). Juhl installed the same model beside his bed - now on view in his house museum.


There are minor differences to the lamps, particularly the knuckle joint behind the shades ( but they both articulate in a similar manner ).
