Very attractive Victorian glazed bookcase in pollard oak, having carved, shaped and ebonised upstand to the back edge above a moulded top with outstanding pollard oak grain and ebonised dentil carvings above a pair of glazed doors fitted with original working lock and a key and enclosing three height adjustable shelves, flanked by canted pilasters and carvings, all decorated with ebonised mouldings, standing on plinth base. This antique bookcase retains its original finish which had been cleaned, revived and waxed, all in excellent home ready condition. Stamped H. Ogden, Manchester, 7616. c1880
