Item Details

Antique French arched mirror, circa 1840, with narrow, outcurving, burnished, watergilt frame decorated with a row of dainty beading along the sight edge and topped with a bow cartouche. Where this mirror has been dusted for almost 200 years, the gilding has thinned revealing the terracotta bole beneath. The original, mercury glass is in very good condition, gives and excellent reflection and sparkles when it catches the light.
