Item Details

Mid 19th century French rectangular mirror with very smart, wide, burnished silverleaf frame. Where this mirror has been dusted for more than 150 years, the silverleaf has thinned in places, revealing the warm, terracotta bole beneath. The original mercury glass has some light foxing and age and this could be changed for a clearer piece, if wished, but the original glass still reflects its surroundings and the mirror frame is eye-catching.
