Item Details

Antique French mirror, circa 1840, with outcurving, gilt, ropetwist frame. Where this mirror has been dusted for almost two centuries, the gilding has thinned a little revealing the terracotta bole beneath, giving the mirror frame a lovely warm patina. The original mercury glass has a little wispy age but gives an excellent reflection. This handsome mirror can be hung portrait, as photographed, or landscape.
