Item Details

Antique French mirror, circa 1880, with burnished, silverleafed frame. Where this mirror has been dusted for more than 140 years, the silverleaf has thinned a little revealing hints of the terracotta bole and cream gesso beneath, giving the frame a lovely patina. The original glass is in very good condition with just a little light age and gives and excellent reflection and this mirror can be hung portrait (as photographed) or landscape.
