Late 19th century French Bistro mirror with wide, outcurving, silverleafed frame. Where the frame has been enthusiastically cleaned for over 100 years, some of the silverleafing has thinned along the bottom edge and the lower inner sides revealing the cream gesso beneath. (This area could be returned to silver, if required.) The original glass is in very good condition, with just a little age in the form of light freckling, gives an excellent reflection, and this classic mirror can be hung portrait, as photographed, or landscape.
