Antique rectangular Venetian mirror, circa 1920, with narrow, scallop-cut edged frame decorated with a simplified sunflower design. Glass leaves secure the frame sections at each corner and mid-way along every side. These are held in place with little glass flower-topped screws and two more flower-topped screws are used in each of the eight sections of the frame. There is some light age in parts of the frame as well as some of the joining pieces and the central glass has two small areas of age, which you can see in the photograph, but gives an excellent reflection. This lovely, original mirror was bought at auction in Monaco and can be hung portrait, as photographed, or landscape.
