Item Details

Large, antique, French, dark gilt mirror, circa 1840, with an unusual vine decoration. Both the inner and outer frames have a raised vine stem running along the centre of the frame along with a small leaf and curled stem central decoration mid way down each long side and vine leaves and grapes at each corner. The mirror is topped with a vine leaf, grape and curled stem decoration forming a circlet with a fleur de lys style leaf in the centre and roses below. All the mirror plates are original mercury glass with a little age but still giving a very good reflection.
