Item Details

Rare late 19th century oval Venetian mirror with dark red glass frame decorated with mirrored "bubbles" or circles arranged inside two narrow silver lines. Each quarter of the frame is held in place with a six-petal glass flower and the mirror is topped with a high cartouche of mirrored acanthus leaves, decorated with rows of bubbles which gradually decrease in size. There is just a little age in the glass flower pieces but the rest of the mirror is in lovely, original condition and the central, bevelled glass gives an excellent reflection.
