Item Details

Small antique French oval mirror, circa 1890, with outcurving burnished gilt frame decorated with a floral and foliate etching. The outside of the frame has a dainty ribbon twist edge and the inside a raised gilt border. Where the mirror has been dusted for over 100 years, hints of the terracotta bole beneath the gold leaf are showing through, giving the frame a warm glow. The original glass has just a hint of age and gives an excellent reflection. This attractive little mirror will enhance any small space.
