Item Details

Small French tabletop mirror, circa 1940s, with a triple curved top. The pale gilt frame is decorated with an intricate design of curling stems, leaves and flowers and with a fanned acanthus leaf at each lower corner. A row of beading and lozenges runs along the sight edge and the outer edges have an etched criss-cross design. The original, hand-bevelled glass, follows the shape of the frame and is in excellent, original condition with just a hint of age and gives a very good reflection. This little mirror has a pretty carved back to hold it at an angle.
