Item Details

An attractive antique inlaid mahogany gentleman’s shaving stand. The gentleman’s shaving stand has a shield shaped mirror raised on a pole extending from the three quarter gallery. The shaving stand has two short drawers above a long drawer and a single, blind panel cupboard below. The gentleman’s shaving stand is raised on four tapering square legs with an under-tier shelf to the base. The shaving stand has decorative inlaid detail throughout. A rather charming piece of antique gentleman’s furniture.

CONDITION REPORT:
In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and staining to the top surface and front (pictured). The mirror remains intact with no apparent break, however, there is foxing and pitting to the glass. The gentleman’s shaving stand remains structurally solid and sound with some very minor losses to the veneer in places. Overall, a particularly charming example.
